Occupation/Study: I’m in my third year of studying photography at the School of Visual Arts. I work mostly with large format. I’m building up a portfolio for grad school for my MFA. I have a blog where I post some of my work as well as other sources of inspiration: www.nickblu.com
Hometown: I’m natively from a small little suburban beach town on Long Island, but now reside in Brooklyn. I moved to NYC two years ago. I don’t really associate any one place to being “home”, though. I always find myself feeling most at peace in isolated, quiet places.
Favorite hangouts: I haven’t been into nightlife lately but Home Sweet Home, a dark, taxidermy filled dive bar, on the LES will always be my fave. Nino’s Pizza on Avenue A, McCarren park in Williamsburg, and hopping around galleries in Chelsea are the places I find myself drifting to most often.
